About Us

ABA Can Help was founded to support families in the New York City area who are raising children on the autism spectrum.

Our staff, led by Clinical Director Anne Marie Benitez, provide children and their families invaluable techniques to improve behavior and communication through individualized applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. We offer family focused services, working in partnership with each child’s closest support network to develop positive reinforcement techniques and interventions which systematically improve behavior and communication skills.

  • PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Demetrius Fincher developed his passion for working with children and families while in high school, working at the NYC Early Intervention Brooklyn Regional Office as a cooperative education student. While in graduate school in Brooklyn he interned at a Committee for Preschool Special Education (CPSE) designed to meet the needs of children on the autism spectrum. That internship developed into a post graduate position as a School Social Worker. Mr. Fincher later became an independent contractor with the NYC Early Intervention Program, providing applied behavior analysis, family counseling, family training and service coordination for families with children with autism.

    Mr. Fincher has witnessed the positive effect ABA can have, not only on a child, but also on the family. His mission is to increase autism awareness, provide access to ABA services and bring harmony to families through effective treatment.

  • CLINICAL DIRECTOR

    Anne Marie Benitez has over 30 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder. Ms. Benitez began her career as a Behavior Specialist and School Psychologist at Committee for Preschool Education Program, Block Institute School (formerly known as Brooklyn School for Special Children). Ms. Benitez went on to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the Block Institute Article 16 Clinic and the New York City Board of Education. Anne Marie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State.

Our mission is to provide accessibility of quality ABA therapy for individuals with autism in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
